Announcing our Web 2.0 Video Contest
October 22, 2007Ok. Web 2.0 isn’t all that descriptive, but a $1,000 grand prize should grab your attention. Download the Contest Flyer Here (pdf).
The goal is to upload a video about a word or phrase of your choice. Every time that word appears across EVERY Web page, it’s linked to YOUR video. No server side changes need here. By downloading the EyeLink plugin, words or phrases in our database are automatically linked to videos submitted by you the users.
First prize for the best video (top rated, most viewed) wins $1,000. Submission deadline is November 30th.
Upload a video and then send it to your friends to rate it. Not sure how your production rates? Check out the competition by watching their videos. Think you can do better. Upload another video. Second prize wins $500. There’s also $100 each for top rated videos in several categories: Celebrity, Politics, News, Places, and Unusual.
Can’t decide on a topic? Think current events — Britney’s custody battle, Republican presidential nominees, Iranian nuclear programs, hot ski resorts, or unusual turkey recipes!
